Registration with MTARA recognises professional standing for practitioners whose work involves multidisciplinary functional assessment and functional analysis. Registration confirms alignment with MTARA’s education, competency, scope of practice, and professional conduct standards.

REGISTRATION CATEGORIES

​

MDT Specialist – Disability, Ageing & Mental Health Scope includes functional capacity, participation, and endurance across everyday life; psychosocial and behavioural functioning as it relates to function; environmental and educational interaction; ageing-related functional change; and functional impact associated with disability and mental health.

 

MDT Specialist – Forensic Functional Analysis Scope includes independent functional capacity assessment and functional analysis; functional impact relevant to legal and tribunal matters; consistency and reliability of functional presentation; and functional risk, vulnerability, and sustainability of functioning.

 

MDT Specialist – Family & Community Services Scope includes functional aspects of caregiving and family participation; household and relational functioning; service engagement capacity; community participation and informal supports; and functional safety and stability.

 

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must demonstrate relevant tertiary qualifications, professional experience in functional assessment and analysis, multidisciplinary reasoning capability, and understanding of ethical practice and professional boundaries.

 

All registrants must maintain a current National Police Check, Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum $10 million), and Public Liability Insurance (minimum $10 million).
